The Medals of Merit

The Bronze Medal

The Bronze Medal is awarded to an individual who has worked for 10 or 15 years for the same employer or as an independent entrepreneur.

The Silver Medal

The silver medal is awarded to someone who has worked 20 or 25 years for the same employer or as an independent entrepreneur, or for holding a long-term position of trust.

The Gold Medal

The gold medal is awarded to a person who has worked 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, or even 75 years for the same employer or as an independent entrepreneur, or for holding a long-term position of trust. The gold medal is made of gold-plated silver or 18-carat gold.

The Silver Medal for Life’s Work

The Silver Medal for Life’s Work is awarded for at least 20 years of work in the service of the business world.

The Gold Medal for Life’s Work

The Gold Medal for Life’s Work is awarded for at least 30 years of work in the service of the business world.

The Medal for Extraordinary Achievement

The Medal for Extraordinary Achievement is awarded for a particularly significant act for the benefit of the company, for example, carrying out and completing an exceptionally demanding project or projects, or for distinguished conduct in a corporate crisis situation. Due to the special nature of the medal, the application must include personalised recommendations on why the medal should be awarded. The Medal for Extraordinary Achievement can be awarded to the same person only once.

The Chamber of Commerce Cross

Finland Chamber of Commerce can award a white enameled silver cross for meritorious actions in a chamber of commerce or in the Finland Chamber of Commerce, or for having meritoriously developed the operating conditions of the chambers of commerce activities or the nation’s business and industry. It is the chambers of commerce or Finland Chamber of Commerce that recommend the awarding of the cross to a specific individual.
